Poison Prevention Program and Planner

Poisonings are second only to motor vehicle crashes as a leading cause of unintentional injury death; first for 35 to 54 years olds. As part of National Poison Prevention Week (March 15-21), HRSA's Poison Prevention Program is launching a new National Poison Prevention Week Planner with ideas for events and activities, fact sheets about poisonings, information about how to partner with your local poison center, and planning tips to promote your events with media and community outreach.

We encourage you to download the planner at http://www.poisonhelp.hrsa.gov/resourcesppw.htm and to partner with your local poison center to commemorate this important week and help raise awareness of poison prevention in your community .

Congratulations to BVCAA Employees!

Help to Spread the Word about the Recall of Peanut Butter and Peanut-Containing Products

We need your help to spread the word about the recall of peanut butter and peanut-containing products. By adding a recall widget to your organization's Web page, you can allow your site visitors to check the FDA database to make sure the products in their cabinets are safe to eat. Users can either search for products by brand name or browse product categories through the widget without ever having to leave your Web site.

Recalled products in the widget will be updated automatically by the FDA so the content will always be current, giving your site access to the most up-to-date recall information. To add this widget to your page, please visit http://www.cdc.gov/widgets/.
