HealthPoint provides behavioral health services as part of an integrated treatment model within the primary care clinic setting. Counseling for children and adults is available through referral from the primary care provider.
Adult Psychiatric services are available by referral from a HealthPoint Primary Care Provider (PCP). This consists of evaluation, medication management and consultations.
Behavioral Health services are available strictly for individuals who are patients of HealthPoint. Appointments are only scheduled by means of a referral from the Primary Care Provider. These services are provided by a licensed professional and treatment is coordinated with the PCP to identify and address the specific needs of each individual.
The focus of the Behavioral Health program is to provide psycho-education and to assist in the management and resolution of common psychological conditions. Counseling for all ages is available for the following issues:
Adjustment issues (related to work, family, school, social or medical problems)
Anxiety
Child/adolescent mood and/or behavior problems
Depression
Grief/Loss
Stress-management
Self-esteem
Trauma Intervention

Payment
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, CHIP perinatal and private insurance. Individuals without insurance are eligible for our sliding fee scale discount program in which fees for service are based upon income and family size. We participate in all local Medicaid plans and we are a Texas Health Steps provider.
