The BVCAA, Inc. Community Action Partner of the Year Award is an annual award begun in 2007 to help commemorate the 35th Anniversary of Brazos Valley Community Action Agency, Inc.
The award is presented in May at the BVCAA, Inc Annual Meeting which is held in conjunction with National Community Action Month.
The award is given to businesses, organizations or individuals who have exemplified outstanding support of helping to better the lives of our neighbors in the Brazos Valley through funding, volunteering or program support and development.
Citigroup has not only been a strong supporter of BVCAA through their donations to the Weatherization and IDA Programs, but has averaged more than $200,000 in annual investments in the Brazos Valley over the past five years. They give not only of their financial resources to over 25 local organizations, but many Citi employees also give of their time to make a difference and positively impact the Brazos Valley. Their contributions have supported organizations including the American Cancer Society of Bryan/College Station, American Heart Association, Brazos Valley Affordable Housing Corporation, North Bryan Community Center, Project Unity and United Way of the Brazos Valley.
